I started  today bright and early.  Thursday mornings, my church runs a community food closet for needy families from our local elementary school where I help out.  We served 33 families, almost 150 people, with the ¾ tons of food we collected from our local area food bank and local stores this week.  After that, I stopped by my local needlework shop looking for fibers and embroidery hoops.  They have lots of fibers and hoops, but I would love an oval  hoop, so  I will keep looking.  I did pick up some ribbon, silk floss and more hand dyed cotton.  Can you tell I love color?   If you are in the Northern Virginia area near Alexandria, I strongly recommend In Stitches Needlework!

Today I added another yellow rose using the same thread, but this rose is almost a golden hue!  (picture taken in sunlight on porch!)
